The Story Behind Naïa Creations

You might think that crochet is just a simple hobby, something that many people do for fun. But with Naïa Creations, I wanted to give this passion a deeper meaning and allow it to grow with me every step of the way.

I was only nine years old when I first discovered crochet. Surprisingly, it took me just a few days to learn the basics, because I was so determined to dive into this creative journey. I started small, making my own headbands, beanies, and little pieces—and with each creation, I fell more and more in love with the art of crochet.

At that time, my cousin was making beautiful Brazilian bracelets, and together we decided to open our very first page: Knot Lovers. In the beginning, we moved slowly, sometimes lacking inspiration, and our audience didn’t grow much. Since I didn’t have a phone back then, she was the one in charge of posting our creations.

As the years went by, I kept improving, and eventually my cousin also decided to learn crochet. Once we both gained confidence, we began to create more and more—plush toys, accessories, and clothing—and shared them more consistently.

That’s when we felt it was time for a new chapter, and so we renamed our page Naïa Creations. Not only did the name sound beautiful and appealing, but to me, it also symbolized the limitless world of creation.

Since then, I have been designing all kinds of crochet items—every style, every type of yarn, and every kind of pattern. My one true goal is to see the joy on people’s faces when they receive their orders and to help them realize that crochet is not just a hobby: it is a world of creativity, an art form that deserves to be cherished.
